Responsibilities/Duties: * Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents * Conduct regular patrols * Monitor activities * Surveillance * Access Control * Safety escorts * Using provided communication devices * Represent SSNW’s brand * Properly wear the issued uniform * Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR) * Complete Incident Reports * Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services * Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures. * Other duties as described in the Post Orders Required Skills/Abilities: * Current Alaska State Unarmed Security Guard License * EMT Background a huge plus * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle * Clean background check and driving record * Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting. * Reliable transportation * Honesty and Integrity * Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays * Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or Equivalent * 5-10 years prior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferred * Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment Physical Requirements: * Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols * Able to stand 8-12 hours a day * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally) Ability to commute/relocate: * Anchorage, AK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) SSNW is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of applicant and employee information.  Security Services Northwest is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
