BILLING SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: Revenue Cycle Management

LOCATION: Johns Creek, GA – Flexible/Hyrid/Remote
REPORTS TO: VP of Revenue Management
SUMMARY: Founded in 2014, Zywie Healthcare is a cardiac monitoring company. We record and transmit patients’ EKGs through holter monitor, event monitor, & mobile cardiac telemetry monitors. We are a trendsetter in the industry by putting doctors’ offices and hospitals in complete control of their cardiac monitoring. We currently have an opening for a Billing Specialist in our Johns Creek office. A Billing Specialist will handle our inbound/outbound communication (phone and email) related to patient billing including claims processing, EOB review, insurance verification, medical records request and taking patient payments. This role will provide billing assistance to patients, medical providers, and insurance agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicating with patients, providers and insurance companies via phone and email.
- Handling high volume of patient calls.
- Reviewing patient claims and medical records to identify billable ICD-10s.
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility and resolving COB issues.
- Calculate patient responsibility and give estimates over the phone.
- Process patient payments.
- Obtaining pre-authorizations and medical records requests.
- Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1 year working in medical billing and coding | Ability to work with minimal supervision |
1-2 years of ICD-10 w/ basic understanding of medical terminology | Acute attention to detail |
Call Center experience | Commitment to excellence and high standards |
Excellent customer service skills | Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills |
Excellent oral and written communication skills | Ability to manage priorities and workflow |
Proficient on Microsoft Office – including excel | Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm |
