This practice covers a wide range of liability and insurance challenges in matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking/transportation claims and employment and property disputes. Responsibilities: In this role you will: * Take depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required. * Draft and submit pleadings, motions and briefs. * Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients. * Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis. * Draft discovery requests and discovery responses. * Review and analyze documents and materials for production. * Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies. * Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds. * Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation. We're looking for someone who: * Is admitted to practice in Utah. * Has civil litigation experience. * Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills. * Has strong organizational and time-management skills. * Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters. * Has effective problem-solving skills. * Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
