Job Summary: Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients. * Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services. * Facilitates admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders. Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated. * Documents calls and related admission information. May staff crisis hotline as needed. * Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies. * Performs insurance verification and prior-authorization based on payor requirements. * Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. * Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION * Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field EXPERIENCE * No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. * Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. * Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. * Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. * Frequent keyboard use/data entry. * Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. * Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. * Rare climbing.
