District Sales Manager – Rhode Island
Power Your Career in Renewable Energy
Trinity Solar is seeking a high-impact District Sales Manager to lead and grow
one of our Rhode Island sales districts. This role is ideal for a proven sales
leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong teams, and knows
how to drive results through coaching, accountability, and strategy.
As a District Sales Manager, you will initially lead one established sales team,
with the opportunity and expectation to build and scale additional teams over
time. This role is designed for a leader who can develop talent, expand the
district’s footprint, and create a sustainable engine for long-term growth.
You will work closely with Sales Managers and Solar Sales Representatives to
ensure consistent performance, pipeline growth, and a culture of excellence
while helping homeowners across Rhode Island transition to clean, renewable
energy.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and develop an existing solar sales team within your assigned Rhode
Island district, providing hands-on coaching and support.
• Recruit, develop, and build additional sales teams as the district grows,
creating long-term expansion and leadership opportunities.
• Coach managers and reps on in-home sales strategy, objection handling,
pipeline management, and closing techniques.
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, performance, and
professional growth across the district.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics including sit rate, close rate,
permit submission, and overall sales volume to identify opportunities for
improvement.
• Conduct weekly leadership calls, field ride-alongs, and team training
sessions to strengthen sales execution and leadership capability.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement district-level sales
strategies and growth initiatives.
• Ensure strong execution of lead generation efforts, including canvassing
programs, referrals, events, retail partnerships, and personal marketing.
• Support teams in closing complex deals and maintaining a high standard of
customer experience.
• Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline visibility through CRM and sales
tracking tools.
• Collaborate with operations, scheduling, and installation teams to ensure a
smooth transition from sale to project completion.
What You Bring
• 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in in-home or consultative
sales.
• 3+ years of leadership or sales management experience, including managing
teams and developing talent.
• Solar industry experience preferred but not necessary.
• Proven ability to build, motivate, and scale high-performing sales teams.
• Strong understanding of Rhode Island residential markets and customer buying
behavior.
• Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with CRM systems, performance dashboards, and pipeline
tracking tools.
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth, performance-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities.
