Production Operator, 1st Shift

Pay: $18.00 to $24.40 per hour
Location: Wheaton, MN
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm

About the job

We are hiring a Plastic Injection Press Operator to make plastic molded parts that meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will operate molding equipment, inspect parts, package finished products, and help keep production running efficiently. The Plastic Injection Press Operator plays an important role in delivering quality products while maintaining a safe work environment.

What a Plastic Injection Press Operator does

• Operate plastic injection molding equipment and produce parts according to quality and production standards.
• Inspect, package, and count finished parts to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Clean vacuum systems, clear equipment alarms, and purge presses as needed to keep production running.
• Maintain production output goals and keep the work area clean and organized.

Required

• Ability to recognize and respond to safety concerns. [
• Basic math skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and make decisions in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to participate in on-the-job training.
• Ability to frequently carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Items over 40 pounds require a team lift or crane.
• Ability to work around loud noise, moving equipment, dust, fumes, and odors.

Preferred (not required)

• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience performing quality inspections.
