Requirements / Recommendations:

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. This is a recreational sports position, and as such, this full-time position requires the employee to be available on weekends and most major holidays during the winter season. Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable driving to and from the resort during minor/moderate weather (limited short-term lodging may, but not always, be available during severe inclement weather). Slip resistant boots or shoes (hard toes and/or waterproofing) are recommended but not required. Proper cold weather gear is essential as you may be expected to work outside to perform various tasks at various times (Employees who do not have the proper cold-weather gear are able to purchase the items they need from the gift shop with an employee discount).

Working Conditions; _

Approx. 32 hours weekly with possibility of overtime during some periods of the peak season. Frequently, loud work environment, varying hot and cold temperatures, frequent exposure to melting snow and ice on returned rental equipment and upwards of 100+ customer interactions daily. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walking while frequently lifting/carrying up to 25lbs of equipment at a time. Employees will be subject to performance reviews every 45 days during peak season. Employees with insufficient reviews may be terminated at the discretion of Chestnut Mountain Resort.
