At JOURNEYS | The Road Home, our non-profit agency is dedicated to providing individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity with essential shelter, social services, and housing support. To make sure we provide exceptional support and care, we're hiring a part-time Driver - Facility Technician to tackle various responsibilities that keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly. WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT BECOMING OUR DRIVER - FACILITY TECHNICIAN

In this role, you will:

• Work part-time between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• Carefully transport people and donations in our Ford transit passenger van or minivan (no special license required!)
• Complete general repairs and facility maintenance around the building
• Respectfully communicate with people and assist them as needed
• Tackle additional responsibilities as assigned to help maintain a great work environment

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a driving test administered by a supervisor
• Comfort driving an 8- to 12-passenger bus or minivan
• Ability to lift and move 40+ pounds
• Ability to follow instructions and stick to a schedule
• Strong verbal communication skills
• High school degree or GED equivalent

While not required, we would prefer that our Driver - Facility Technician can take the initiative when it comes to problem-solving and can easily adapt to changing priorities. A commitment to confidentiality, respect, and maintaining composure during stressful situations would be ideal.
