As our Administrative Assistant, you will support daily housing operations, resident services, and business office functions at both locations. Every day, you will assist with rental applications, resident move-ins, rent collection, annual recertifications, vendor billing, and resident file maintenance. You will also help coordinate resident activities, respond to resident questions, and communicate with the corporate office, property management, and maintenance teams. To be successful, you must be organized, detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while providing excellent service to residents and visitors.

Position Type: Part-Time working a varying schedule

Wage Range: $20 - $22 / hour depending on experience

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and greet, direct, and assist residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Support rental applications, resident move-ins, rent collection, and annual recertification processes.
• Maintain accurate resident files, documentation, and compliance forms.
• Provide property tours and explain amenities to prospective residents.
• Assist with resident billing, collections, accounts payable, cash receipts, and vendor invoices.
• Coordinate with the corporate office regarding billing and processing questions.
• Respond to resident questions regarding rent, billing, and unit-related concerns.
• Coordinate resident activities and assist with maintaining a welcoming community environment.
• Maintain vendor information and assist with work order requests and building-related concerns.
• Assist with administrative projects, data collection, and other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accounting, payroll, benefits, or housing experience preferred; training provided.
• Section 8 or affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential resident and employee information.
• Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related office equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the community.
