Are you an experienced Cannabis Cultivator with a significant presence on social medial?  Have you overseen a vertically integrated Cannabis operation?  Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for a Managing Director to lead a licensed indoor grow operation and dispensary in the Battle Creek, Michigan, area.

As Head of Cultivation, you will be responsible for the leadership and organization for all retail and cultivation activities in the grow operation.  You will direct and oversee the employee activities for all operations from propagation, planting and cultivating, to irrigation, harvesting, and record keeping and ensure the retail business is managed properly. You should have a "roll up your sleeves" attitude in order to be successful in this operation and are very passionate about quality yields and continuous improvement in both the farm and retail.  You will be expected to refine and enforce existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in an effort to advance the Company's mission, along with developing KPIs and milestones to ensure the organization's success.   Using your knowledge of Michigan Cannabis regulations and OSHA rules, you will ensure adherence to compliance and safety regulations by all employees.  With your proven success in meeting or exceeding yield and quality expectations, you will plan and direct operations for optimum quality crop production.  Using your proven experience with operational excellence, you are able to run a cultivation facility efficiently and help drive revenue growth at the retail level.  You have created a successful personal or corporate Cannabis brand as well.  As a successful people manager known for inspiring your employees, you enjoy hiring, training, and coaching employees in all aspects of the grow operation.

The ideal Managing Director will have 5+ years of successful commercial cannabis cultivation experience, 1+ year of experience managing a regulated Cannabis Retail Store, and at least 2+ years of that experience as a people manager in a cultivation environment. You have managed indoor cultivation facilities of at least 10k+ square feet of canopy which ideally use rockwool. Experience with Growlink or similar system is required. You have experience with LED lighting. You have phenomenal communication skills and enjoy being part of a team, versus only spending time with the plants. Ideally, you'll have a degree in horticulture or agronomy.  You are an expert when it comes to climate control and understand crop planning and scheduling. It is preferred that you understand the climate complexities of the upper Midwest. You have exceptional communication and presentation skills.  You have experience with Marketing, Sales, HR, and some Financial/Accounting aspects of a vertically integrated Cannabis operation. If you love all aspects of managing a grow cycle, mentoring/managing the people who also have a strong passion for cannabis, and developing your direct reports, then we'd love to see your resume to be considered for this opportunity!
