What you'll be doing

• -Completing a variety of repair and maintenance projects: carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor plumbing and electrical work within handyman scope and local licensing rules
• -Installing safety and accessibility upgrades such as grab bars, handrails, lever hardware, and other aging-in-place improvements
• -Diagnosing issues and finding smart, lasting solutions
• -Installing, assembling, and repairing fixtures, appliances, and equipment 
• -Inspecting homes to spot repair needs and safety concerns early
• -Performing preventative maintenance that keeps homes running smoothly
• -Maintaining your company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicle
• -Communicating clearly and courteously with homeowners from arrival to wrap-up
• -Following building codes, safety standards, and company best practices
• -Documenting each job in our field service app, including notes, photos, and time
• -Leaving every job site clean, safe, and looking sharp

• -2+ years of experience in home repair, general maintenance, or a related trade
• -Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• -Ability to read repair manuals, work orders, and basic diagrams
• -Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• -Confidence working independently with minimal oversight
• -A genuine passion for customer service
• -Comfort using a tablet and mobile apps for scheduling, work orders, photos, and email
• -A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements
• -Ability to pass a background check (this role works inside customers' homes)
• -High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• -Trade certifications or vocational training
• -Experience in residential, property management, or facilities maintenance
• -EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator (RRP), OSHA 10/30, or other safety certifications
• -CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) or experience with accessibility modifications

• This is an active, hands-on role. With or without reasonable accommodation, you should be able to:
  • -Stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, and bend throughout the workday
  • -Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • -Work indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
  • -Operate hand and power tools safely
  • -Move across active job sites, including uneven terrain, gravel, mud, and unfinished surfaces
  • -Stay aware of your surroundings to keep yourself, customers, and coworkers safe
