The Experience

Our Summer Associate Program is a ten (10) week program designed to provide real work assignments involving actual cases and legal issues being handled by the firm. You will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring while you learn about our clients, practices, lawyers, and culture. Additional assignments and experiences may include:

• Attending hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Drafting memorandums, motions, and pleadings.
• Conducting legal research.
• Preparing client updates on legal developments.
• Opportunities to work in a collaborative environment where ideas, continuous learning, and teamwork is emphasized.
• Attending firm-sponsored social events and community improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic performance.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• A high level of professionalism in working and engaging with attorneys and support staff.
• Current 1L Law Student.
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.
• Highly organized and exercise extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.

Compensation and Benefits

Our Summer Associates receive a competitive compensation package. We also provide a bar allowance for new first-year associates who are offered and accept positions with the firm following completion of the summer program. This allowance is paid to the student upon graduation from law school.
