UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in Queens. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Queens office at 161-10 Jamaica Ave, Suite 403, Jamaica, NY 11432.

Pay: $19.65 to $25 per hour. The starting rate is New York’s home health aide minimum wage and rises each year with it.

Schedule: Part-time and full-time.

What you’ll do

• Provide companionship, conversation and activities
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and go with clients to appointments
• Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine

What you need

• A caring attitude and reliability; caregiving experience is a plus
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role
