Position Overview

As a New Business Specialist, you are the vital bridge between financial advisors, insurance carriers, and operations. Your primary mission is two-fold: Concierge Application Prep (pre-filling and preparing applications for advisors) and Application Scrubbing (ensuring 100% "In Good Order" accuracy before carrier submission).

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess an eagle eye for detail, and take pride in delivering white-glove service to top-producing advisors, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advisor Concierge & Application Prep

  • Act as a dedicated operational partner to advisors, providing proactive, white-glove concierge support during the client onboarding phase.

  • Pre-fill and assemble complete annuity and life insurance application packages based on advisor-provided case details.

  • Guide advisors on carrier-specific requirements, forms, and submission guidelines to streamline their workflow.

2. Application Scrubbing & Quality Control

  • Meticulously review and "scrub" all incoming applications, transfer paperwork, and suitability forms to guarantee they are submitted In Good Order (IGO).

  • Identify potential red flags, missing signature fields, or compliance discrepancies prior to carrier submission to minimize processing delays.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of Tax-Qualified and Non-Tax-Qualified account rules, rollover guidelines, and carrier-specific nuances.

3. Pipeline Management & Carrier Follow-Through

  • Submit scrubbed application packages to insurance carriers promptly and accurately.

  • Actively track and follow up on pending cases from submission through policy issuance and delivery.

  • Systematically resolve carrier requirements (NIGO items), communicating clear, actionable solutions back to the advisor.

  • Maintain complete, audit-ready records within our CRM/operations platform in accordance with industry compliance standards.

Qualifications & Core Competencies
  • Industry Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in financial services, insurance operations, or mortgage processing environments, with direct exposure to annuity or life insurance processing a plus.

  • Technical Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of fixed/indexed annuities, life insurance applications, transfer/rollover mechanics, and tax-qualified vs. non-qualified funds.

  • Detail & Scrubbing Expertise: Exceptional accuracy and a strong process-driven mindset—you naturally spot the small details others miss.

  • Communication & Relationship Skills: Professional, clear verbal and written communication; ability to build trust quickly with high-producing advisors.

  • Technical Savvy: Proficient in standard office software, CRM systems, and e-application tools (e.g., FireLight, iPipeline, or carrier portals).
