Job Details: Job Location: Gan Kavod, Inc. - New Hartford, NY, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Position: Recreation Assistant Aide   Responsible To: Activity and Behavior Specialist/Recreation Assistant   Shift: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm     · Work Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. Working with elderly, medically complex and frail individuals with intellectual disabilities · Delivery of person-centered groups and focus on individualized interests (physical, educational, cultural, life skills, hobbies, leisure activities, etc) · Motivate and encourage participation through choice and interaction and engagement. · Participate in individual program planning for each resident. Identify residents’ interests, hobbies, and valued inter-personal relationships and provide the necessary supplies for implementation of programs to support or expand those interests and hobbies. · Promote cooperation between houses and encourage joint activity efforts. · Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident related information in accordance with HIPPA/Hi-Tech requirements. · Perform duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility’s applicable governing laws. · Perform any other related duties as assigned by Program Director, Assistant Program Director, or designee. Qualifications: · High-school diploma or equivalent required   · Current driver's license Approved Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and ability to drive agency vehicles.   · Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
