<h1>How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:</h1>This position is located at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRVMC) in Christiansburg, VA working full time, nights, 7pm-7am with EOW & rotating holidays. The RN Team Lead provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes. This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and team leader to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned areas.

The RN Team Lead<ul><li>Serves as a team leader, clinical resource, mentor, and role model for staff.</li><li>Provides direct patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.</li><li>Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.</li><li>Leads and mobilizes the care team to support positive patient outcomes.</li><li>Facilitates effective communication and resolves operational issues within the work group.</li><li>Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.</li><li>Participates in performance evaluations and contributes to development planning.</li><li>Assists with staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to ensure adequate coverage.</li><li>Collaborates with leadership on fiscal management, resource allocation, and budget considerations.</li><li>Participates in performance improvement, patient satisfaction, and quality initiatives.</li><li>Conducts team meetings and promotes a positive, accountable work environment.</li><li>Ensures compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation standards.</li><li>Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive information.</li><li>Supports organizational initiatives and adapts to changing priorities.</li><li>Responds to staffing needs, including supporting other Carilion facilities as required.</li></ul>

<h1>What We Require:</h1>Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe. For OB/GYN roles, EFM NCC certification required. Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area. Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage challenging patient situations as appropriate to role. Compensation Range:$39.00 - $62.40Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
