Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Martinsville VA - Martinsville, VA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $21.39 - $25.88, Job Shift: 1st Shift,   MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO APPLY AND NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL “This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.” QUALITY ASSIST I (MV1 QA Assist 1st shift) rec# 35250   Primary Function: Ensure the quality Snack Food products through testing and analysis of product and packaging.   Major Duties and Responsibilities: Gather samples to perform weight, moisture, salometer and ph checks on product Complete all quality control paperwork and forward to appropriate recipients Check packaging for integrity of seals, dates, vacuum, and proper caddie and case counts Communicate with PMO and supervisor on quality issues Keep work area clean and organized Follow GMP/HAACP procedures Pre-operational sanitation inspections daily Perform micro swab procedures. Assist with other tasks as assigned     Materials and Equipment: Calculator Read ruler   Work Environment: Stand on concrete Ambient temperatures   Physical Requirements: Hand/eye coordination Walk/stand 100% of shift   Personal Protective Equipment: Safety shoes as needed   Supervisory Responsibilities:             N/A   Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of common QC techniques and procedures Intermediate level math and writing skills Intermediate level communication skills Ability to test and read scales Ability to neatly and accurately complete paperwork Ability to work independently and as a team Strong organizational skills Flexible work schedule between Production and Quality Ability to use various software programs, computers and ipads Ability to obtain HACCP certification  Ability to care for lab equipment.
