We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to play a critical role in coordinating manufacturing operations and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to specification. This position serves as a key link between production, customer service, maintenance, quality, and inventory teams to maximize efficiency while meeting customer expectations.

 

As a Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling manufacturing activities in the most efficient manner possible while considering customer requirements, production capacity, raw material availability, and operational constraints.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain production schedules to maximize manufacturing capacity and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Enter customer orders into the scheduling system and provide timely order acknowledgements.
• Serve as the primary contact for beverage product line and provide customer service support by responding to order inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Collaborate with management to determine the best ingredients for products and optimize production planning.
• Coordinate planned maintenance downtime with the Maintenance team to minimize disruptions.
• Generate packaging and ingredient requirements to ensure materials are staged and available for production.
• Partner with Quality and Operations teams to manage returned products and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide scheduling guidance for bulk loadout activities and support yard operations.
• Monitor sugar railcar schedules, maintain efficient ingredient flow, and authorize demurrage payments.
• Maintain production logs, manufacturing system files, and scheduling platform data.
• Support ongoing improvements to scheduling systems and processes.
• Monitor ingredient inventory conditions, including age and temperature requirements.
• Take a leadership role in identifying and resolving ingredient and production-related issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with production schedule adjustments and operational issues as needed.

 

Required Education/Qualifications/Experience:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in production planning and customer service
• Ability to work collaboratively in a highly regulated industry
• Strong math background
• Solid computer skills to include MS Office applications. Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
