Description

The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

The Maintenance Worker I position is responsible for performing general maintenance work in the upkeep of buildings, grounds and associated equipment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Maintains general upkeep of grounds by mowing lawn using riding lawn mowers
Trims and edges sidewalks, prunes and trims trees
Rakes leaves and keeps grounds free of debris and trash
Performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas
Performs general maintenance duties
Performs other duties as assigned

This position, in org unit 10202459, Hardin county has an approved Locality Premium of $3.08 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures. Must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
