Janco Industries is looking for an Estimating & Customer Solutions Specialist to join our team in Sully, Iowa.

This isn't a traditional customer service position - and it isn't a desk-bound estimating position either. It's a hands-on, customer-facing role that connects our customers with Sales, Purchasing, Scheduling, Production and Shipping while learning the manufacturing side of our business.

You'll help customers get answers, keep orders and shipments moving, and develop the skills to build accurate manufacturing estimates and quotes.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a primary contact for customers by phone and email
• Enter customer orders and provide order-status and product information
• Work with our production team to get customers the answers they need
• Coordinate outgoing shipments, freight and LTL logistics
• Review RFQs, customer drawings and specifications
• Build manufacturing estimates and quotes
• Work with Sales, Purchasing and Production to gather information for accurate pricing
• Follow up on quotes and help turn opportunities into orders
• Maintain accurate order, quote and customer information in our ERP system
• Build strong relationships with customers while learning Janco and Handy products and manufacturing capabilities

Experience That Would Be Helpful

Manufacturing or estimating experience is a plus - but don't let a lack of estimating experience stop you from applying.

We're willing to train the right person.

This could be an excellent next step for someone with experience in customer service, inside sales, order entry, purchasing, logistics, scheduling, manufacturing support or another customer-facing role who is ready to grow into something more.

Experience reading engineering drawings, working with ERP systems, coordinating freight or working in metal fabrication is helpful, but not required for the right candidate.
