Part-Time CPR/BLS Instructor
Johnson City, Tennessee
Part-Time | USD 22.00 - 28.00 HOUR

About Us

Winder CNA Training is a Georgia-based healthcare training school expanding into the Johnson City market. We offer American Heart Association CPR, BLS, First Aid, and BLS Instructor courses and are building a dedicated presence in the greater Johnson City area to serve the region's growing healthcare community.

The Role

We're looking for a reliable, personable CPR/BLS Instructor to lead classes at community centers, libraries, and rented conference spaces throughout the Johnson City metro area. You'll be the face of our Johnson City campus — running classes independently, maintaining equipment, and helping us build relationships with local healthcare employers.

This is a great fit for a current or former healthcare professional (nurse, EMT, paramedic, respiratory therapist) who wants steady part-time hours with a consistent schedule and room to grow.

What You'll Do

• Teach AHA BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR/AED, and Heartsaver First Aid courses (typically 2 classes per week)
• Set up and break down classroom space at community venues (tables, manikins, AED trainers, course materials)
• Ensure all students receive proper skills evaluation and certification cards on the day of class
• Maintain training equipment in clean, working condition
• Collect payments and manage class rosters through our registration system
• Represent Winder CNA Training professionally and help build word-of-mouth in the Johnson City healthcare community
• Coordinate scheduling with our main office and communicate any venue or student issues promptly

What We're Looking For

• Current AHA BLS Instructor certification (preferred, if not, will train)
• Healthcare background strongly preferred (CNA, RN, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, RT, or similar)
• Reliable transportation — you'll be traveling to different class locations across the Johnson City area
• Comfortable teaching groups of 6–20 adults with varying experience levels
• Professional, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for teaching life-saving skills
• Must be able to lift and carry training equipment (manikins, bags) up to 40 lbs
• Must pass a background check

What We Offer

• Consistent weekly schedule (Tuesdays & Fridays) so you can plan around it
• All training equipment and course materials provided
• AHA certification renewal support and continuing education
• Opportunity to grow into additional courses (ACLS, PALS) and more hours as the campus expands
• Be part of a growing healthcare training school with a strong reputation in the Southeast
