Experienced Cook & Dishwasher - University Dining

Hospitality Services Group is hiring experienced Cooks and dependable Dishwashers for an immediate opportunity supporting a busy university dining operation. Candidates must be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

COOK - Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and production needs.

  • Operate grill, sauté, fry, oven, and other kitchen stations.

  • Prepare food for high-volume meal periods.

  • Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.

  • Keep workstations clean and organized.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

  • Assist with food preparation, stocking, and kitchen cleanup.

Cook Requirements

  • Previous professional Cook or Line Cook experience is required.

  • High-volume cooking experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in university dining, corporate dining, hotels, catering, healthcare, or restaurants is a plus.

  • Strong knife skills and basic culinary knowledge.

  • Ability to follow recipes and production sheets.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen.

  • Reliable attendance and flexible availability, including weekends as needed.

  • Reliable transportation to and from the Kingston, NY work location is mandatory.

DISHWASHER - Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment.

  • Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized.

  • Sort and store clean dishes and equipment properly.

  • Assist with kitchen cleanup, sanitation, and trash removal.

  • Maintain clean floors and work areas.

  • Support kitchen staff with additional cleaning duties as needed.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

Dishwasher Requirements

  • Previous dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, catering, or food service experience preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move kitchen supplies as needed.

  • Reliable attendance and flexible availability, including weekends as needed.

  • Reliable transportation to and from the Kingston, NY work location is mandatory.
