Location

On site at Fort George G. Meade, MD, on a hybrid schedule. Daily on-site coverage Monday through Friday, core hours 0900 to 1500 ET; the onsite and telework balance is set by the COR at award.

Position Summary

Serve as lead network administrator for a DoD technology analysis lab. Working autonomously or with minimal oversight, you will configure, optimize, secure, and troubleshoot the lab network, including firewall policy, VPNs, and network access.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the physical and virtual switching infrastructure and firewalls, andimplement firewall policies.
• Track and allocate network addresses and maintain documentation of IP addresses and subnets.
• Manage VLANs and service meshes and apply infrastructure as code to network configuration.
• Apply software and security updates, update configurations, and execute backups.
• Establish and maintain VPN connectivity and control network access.
• Keep connectivity in place between all assets in the lab, and troubleshoot with partner test personnel to identify and resolve network issues at or above the lab point of presence.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of DoD experience.
• Active Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
• DoD 8140 certification at the Basic proficiency level for DCWF work role 441 (Network Operations Specialist), held before award or obtained within three months of award.
• Ability to provide on-site support at Fort George G. Meade, MD, during core hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering networks for containerized and virtualized lab environments.
• Scripting in Python, Linux shell (Bash), or PowerShell to automate network tasks.
