Nurse Technician – Med Surg

At Centerpoint - Paris, our Medical Surgical Unit team is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for patients recovering from illness, injury, and surgical procedures. As a vital part of our inpatient services, our nurses, patient care staff, providers, and interdisciplinary teams work collaboratively to support patients throughout their hospital stay while focusing on safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences. How you'll contribute

A Nurse Technician who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of an RN, assists in assuring optimal patient care.

• Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance 

• Monitor and record vital signs, and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff 

• Assist nurses with procedures, including room setup and basic wound care under supervision 

• Transport patients and maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas 

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity while following infection control protocols

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional requirements include:

• Nursing Assistant Certificate (SRNA/CNA) preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

• Handle with Care certification required within 7 days of hire
