About Snack Innovations
Snack Innovations is a fast-growing consumer packaged goods company with a passion for better-for-you snacking and the parent brand behind Drizzilicious, Natural Endurance, Smart Fries, and Sunday Snacks. Operating as both a private label manufacturer and direct-to-consumer snack brand innovator, we’re rapidly expanding and looking for driven, entrepreneurial people to grow with us.

We are looking for builders and doers who thrive in agile, entrepreneurial environments and are comfortable creating structure where it does not yet exist. The ideal candidate has seen best-in-class operations and knows how to adapt that experience in a fast-moving setting.

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager serves as the primary technical resource and point of contact for workplace safety, security, and environmental matters at the manufacturing facility. This role develops and manages programs designed to prevent injuries, strengthen regulatory compliance, protect company property, and achieve environmental and workplace safety goals.

Working closely with plant leadership, employees, and operational teams, the EHS Manager leads training, incident investigations, inspections, risk assessments, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

What You Will Do
Safety Programs & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor plant safety programs to prevent workplace injuries, near misses, musculoskeletal disorders, and property damage.
  • Partner with plant management to establish safety goals, track key performance measures, and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain safety, security, and environmental programs, policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA General Industry standards and applicable state and federal environmental regulations; maintain required records.
  • Conduct facility inspections, job safety analyses, ergonomic evaluations, and risk assessments, including machine guarding, material handling, and pedestrian traffic hazards.
  • Identify personal protective equipment and other safety equipment needs; maintain appropriate supplies and generate safety-related work orders.
  • Review new equipment, processes, and operational changes for safety risks; collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering on effective controls.
 Incident Investigation & Safety Improvement
  • Investigate injuries, incidents, hazards, and near misses; identify root causes, document findings, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed.
  • Maintain incident reports, OSHA 300 logs, the safety database, and related records; monitor timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices, identify violations, and work with management to resolve issues.
  • Lead the plant safety committee, including monthly meetings, review of inspection findings, and follow-up on action items.
  • Use inspection findings, incident trends, and leading safety indicators to recommend practical improvements to plant safety performance.

Training, Emergency Preparedness & Security
  • Identify training needs and deliver or coordinate required safety training for regular and agency employees across shifts.
  • Coordinate and verify required safety training, including lockout/tagout, forklift operation, machine safety, hearing conservation, and emergency response.
  • Lead facility emergency response planning, drills, and training for plant teams and management.
  • Promote workplace safety and health awareness through regular communication and employee engagement.
  • Oversee plant security personnel, including scheduling and training, as assigned.
 Environmental, Food Safety & Reporting
  • Prepare or approve required regulatory and company reporting, including OSHA records and applicable environmental and wastewater reports.
  • Maintain applicable environmental permits and compliance programs, including wastewater, waste handling, chemical storage, and spill prevention, as required.
  • Partner with Quality, Sanitation, and Operations on GMP and applicable food safety audit requirements; promptly escalate food safety or quality concerns.
  • Coordinate with regulators and community contacts on facility safety, security, and environmental matters.
  • Provide plant leadership with regular safety and environmental reports, including trends, training completion, and corrective action status.
What We Are Looking For
