Help shape the culture of philanthropy across UTHealth Houston's clinical environment. Our Department of Development and Alumni Engagement is looking for a Grateful Patient Program Assistant Director to partner with clinicians, faculty, department chairs, and staff throughout UTHealth Houston, especially McGovern Medical School, to strengthen engagement, connect grateful patients and families with philanthropy, and support a relationship-based grateful patient program.
This is not a frontline fundraising role, but candidates should understand philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofit organizations. A healthcare or clinical background is beneficial. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, confidence in speaking to groups and delivering professional training, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Because relationship-building is most effective face-to-face, candidates should expect to work primarily on-site, generally up to four days per week. Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
