Join BAE Systems and contribute to one of the most complex national‑defense modernization efforts in the world. As a Principal MS&A Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing the digital architecture that underpins the next‑generation LGM‑35A Sentinel ICBM. Your work directly supports the U.S. Air Force by ensuring the missile system is safe, accurate, and mission‑ready.
In this role, you will lead the creation and refinement of a high‑fidelity six‑degrees‑of‑freedom (6‑DOF) simulation model used to predict missile flight performance and validate vehicle design. Your responsibilities include:
Simulation Development: Design, code, and test advanced rocket and missile dynamics models to evaluate flight behavior and system performance.
Technical Validation: Apply advanced engineering principles to ensure MS&A tools are physically accurate, complete, and reliable.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with propulsion, guidance, and systems engineering teams to assess solid rocket motors, guidance components, and propulsion systems.
Strategic Reporting: Convert complex simulation outputs into clear technical briefings and reports for the USAF System Program Office.
Located at Hill AFB, BAE Systems is a trusted partner to the USAF Nuclear Weapons Center. We’ve been recognized as a “Top Workplace” in Utah for six consecutive years, offering a culture grounded in technical excellence, mission focus, and strong work‑life balance. Due to the classified nature of the Sentinel program, this position is fully on‑site.
