$50,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience

LawTrio LLC is seeking an organized, hands-on People & Office Manager to support employees and daily operations for legal offices in Gastonia, Charlotte, and Raleigh.

This role combines HR and benefits administration, office operations, basic new-hire training, routine IT support coordination, and ownership of employee culture and events. You will be a central point of contact for employees and vendors, taking responsibility for everyday needs and following issues through to resolution.

The position reports to the VP of Operations and is based in Gastonia, with travel to Charlotte as needed and approximately quarterly visits to Raleigh.

What you’ll do

HR and benefits administration

  • Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, changes, and questions with the appropriate providers or benefits broker.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and required documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding paperwork and administrative checklists.
  • Help employees navigate routine HR processes and answer questions about established policies.
  • Assist with HR duties as assigned, including posting job openings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews and background checks, conducting exit interviews, and supporting other employee-related processes.

Payroll is handled by Finance and is not part of this role.

Office operations and vendor coordination

  • Keep offices organized, supplied, and ready for employees and clients.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, cleaning, supplies, and other vendor services.
  • Track service requests, spending records, contracts, and renewal deadlines.
  • Coordinate workspace preparation and equipment needs.
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate ordering of approved materials.

Culture, events, and internal communications

  • Own the planning and execution of team-building activities, holiday programs, employee recognition, and staff-focused culture initiatives across all offices.
  • Prepare and coordinate company-wide internal communications about employee programs, office updates, and upcoming activities.
  • Manage the calendar, logistics, vendors, supplies, and approved budgets needed to take events and initiatives from idea through completion.
  • Gather employee input, recommend practical ways to strengthen connections across offices, and take responsibility for making approved initiatives happen.

New-hire onboarding and basic training

  • Coordinate workspaces, equipment, and approved access so employees are ready to begin.
  • Lead office orientation and basic training on office procedures, everyday software, and equipment.
  • Help new employees understand where to find information and whom to contact for support.
  • Coordinate department-specific training with the appropriate leaders.
  • Maintain practical onboarding checklists and basic training materials.

Basic IT support and service coordination

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for routine technology and equipment issues.
  • Use established troubleshooting steps for common problems.
  • Contact outside service providers when repairs or support are needed—for example, calling the printer repair company, scheduling service, and following up until the printer is working.
  • Keep employees informed about open issues and next steps.
  • Escalate advanced technical problems, security concerns, and account or access changes to IT.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in office management, senior administration, or a comparable operations role.
  • Hands-on experience with HR administration, employee benefits, and onboarding.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
  • The ability to organize employee events, communicate clearly across teams, and carry initiatives through to completion.
  • Confidence explaining basic processes and training new employees.
  • Comfort using Microsoft 365 and business software, troubleshooting routine issues, and working with service providers.
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential employee and business information.
  • The ability to prioritize competing requests and recognize when an issue needs escalation.
  • Experience supporting multiple offices or a professional services organization is a plus.

Compensation and benefits

  • $50,000–$60,000 annual base salary, depending on relevant experience.
  • Employer-paid employee-only medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) with a company match of up to 4% of eligible pay after one year of employment.

What success looks like

Benefits administration stays current, vendors follow through, and routine office issues are handled promptly. Internal communications are timely, employee events are well organized, and culture initiatives become completed activities that connect staff across offices.
