The PACU RN manages presurgical anxiety and administer necessary medications. In the PACU or recovery phase, the RN monitors patients as they emerge from anesthesia, managing pain levels and observing vital signs to ensure stable recovery. The registered nurse provides education on discharge instructions and necessary follow-up care.
