Position Overview

IOC is looking for an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our corporate Finance team. This is an opportunity for someone interested in building a career in commercial insurance, corporate risk, and business operations. Working directly with our Senior Insurance Coordinator, you will support insurance needs across multiple businesses, handle day-to-day requests, track claims, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners. We seek someone who takes pride in getting things done, enjoys learning, and wants to grow beyond their initial responsibilities. The role offers hands-on exposure to commercial insurance and opportunities to take on more complex projects as experience grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep insurance operations running smoothly: Coordinate everyday insurance requirements, requests, documentation, and updates across multiple companies.
• Get involved in claims management: Assist with reporting new claims, collecting information, monitoring progress, and following up on open items.
• Support ongoing coverage needs: Help communicate and document insurance needs for new vehicles, equipment, assets, leases, facilities, and business changes.
• Work with brokers and internal teams: Assist with certificates of insurance, endorsements, renewals, and routine coverage questions.
• Maintain accurate information: Keep policy records, claims trackers, insurance schedules, and deadlines current.
• Improve how things get done: Help create more effective trackers, reporting tools, and standardized processes.
• Take on new challenges: Participate in special projects and gradually assume more independent responsibility.

Qualifications 

•  One to three years of experience in insurance, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organization and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to own assigned tasks.
• Strong Excel and general computer skills.
• Clear communication and confidence following up with different departments and outside parties.
• Adaptability, dependability, and interest in learning insurance and risk management.
