Relay is a cross-chain payments protocol that provides instant, low-cost cross-chain bridging, swaps, and transactions. We're the fastest and cheapest way to bridge and transact across chains, serving over 5 million users who have completed 59+ million transactions with $6+ billion in volume across 85+ chains.
Our company mission is to make transacting across chains as fast, cheap, and reliable as online payments. We are building the core infrastructure to abstract chains from end user payments, enabling the next billion users to experience the benefits of blockchain without the UX burdens.
We're hiring a Senior Developer Success Engineer to make Relay the easiest way for developers to move value onchain. You'll work directly with integrators, get complex implementations across the finish line, and turn what you learn into a better product for everyone who follows.
You'll partner closely with our Customer team: they own the commercial relationship, you own the technical one.
Cover US business hours
This role is remote within the United States, with a strong preference for Eastern Time.
Own integration support
Own the technical relationship when developers need help integrating with Relay
Debug directly with developers, drive issues to resolution, and make sure the same problem is easier—or unnecessary—the next time
Know when the answer is better guidance, a better implementation, or a better product
Work directly with integrators
Work alongside developers from first integration through healthy production
Help integrators choose the right path through Relay and get complex implementations across the finish line
Move easily between a partner call, a broken integration, a code sample, and a product decision
Build what scales
Turn repeated integration work into docs, examples, templates, and tooling other developers can use
Treat documentation as part of the product, not something that trails it
Write for developers—and the agents increasingly working alongside them
Close the loop
Be Relay's most informed voice on where integrations break down and why
Turn what you learn from developers into better APIs, workflows, and product decisions
Measure success by whether developers integrate faster, with less help, over time
You treat every integration issue as a product problem, not just a ticket to close
You're technically strong enough to prototype, debug, test, and verify integrations independently
You can explain APIs clearly in writing and in conversation without losing technical precision
You establish practical standards for writing, improving, and publishing developer documentation
You notice repeated friction and turn it into a better default
You can move between technical and non-technical audiences without losing precision
You're comfortable building a new function in a fast-moving startup
Must-have
5+ years in Developer Success, Developer Relations, or Solutions Engineering—or similar experience in software development
Experience owning high-stakes technical issues with external developers through resolution
Ability to prototype, debug, test, and verify production integrations independently
A body of developer-facing work—documentation, examples, demos, or tools—that made a technical product easier to use
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Nice to have
Experience with API-first, infrastructure, payments, fintech, or crypto products
Familiarity with SDK design, API evolution, and developer tooling
Experience building documentation or examples for AI coding agents
Experience with TypeScript and modern web development
Competitive base salary
Equity package
Comprehensive health benefits
Unlimited PTO policy with encouraged minimum
Remote-first culture with emphasis on collaboration, communication, and flexibility
