POSITION SUMMARY

ABOUT PRIMROSE SCHOOL OF SILICON FOREST

Primrose School of Silicon Forest is a private early education and care school in Hillsboro, Oregon, and part of the national Primrose Schools family, known for a Balanced Learning approach that blends purposeful play, teacher-guided instruction, and character development. The school serves young children and their families across Hillsboro and the surrounding Washington County communities, and is locally owned by franchise owners who also operate Primrose schools in Livermore and San Ramon, California. Everything the team does is guided by its core values of Respect, Integrity, Accountability, Passion, Honesty, and Social Responsibility.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • By the end of the 90-day pilot, Primrose School of Silicon Forest is a familiar, trusted name across Hillsboro, and a steady share of new tours and enrollments trace back to relationships this coordinator built face to face.
  • Every lead from outreach, events, and referrals is followed up quickly and tracked, so leadership can see exactly which partnerships, events, and campaigns are producing tours and enrollments.
  • Current and prospective families feel connected to the school through open houses, events, referral campaigns, and authentic content, and the pilot results give leadership a clear picture of what this role can deliver long term.

OBJECTIVES

  • Represent Primrose School of Silicon Forest in the Hillsboro community through regular, face-to-face visits to local businesses, family-focused organizations, and community groups.
  • Develop and maintain referral partnerships with organizations that serve young families, such as pediatric and family health offices, children's activity programs, and community organizations.
  • Connect with Hillsboro-area employers to introduce the school as a high-quality early education and care option for their working families.
  • Attend and help staff community events, fairs, and family gatherings, and bring back qualified family contacts from every event.
  • Plan and support school and community events, including open houses, that bring prospective families onto campus.
  • Support enrollment by following up promptly on inquiries and outreach leads and helping schedule school tours with the School Director.
  • Run family referral campaigns that encourage current families to introduce friends, neighbors, and coworkers to the school.
  • Create authentic social media posts and content that show daily life, events, and community involvement at the school, following Primrose brand standards and family photo permissions.
  • Strengthen engagement with current families through events and communication that build loyalty and retention.
  • Track outreach activity, partnerships, leads, tours, and enrollments so leadership can measure the results of the 90-day pilot.
  • Partner with the School Director on weekly priorities, the outreach calendar, and the pilot's success metrics.

COMPETENCIES

  • Builds relationships face to face with ease, walking into a local business or community event and leaving with a genuine connection and a clear next step.
  • Takes ownership of results in a pilot role, treating every partnership, lead, and event as a chance to prove the role's impact.
  • Works independently from a self-built plan, managing a part-time schedule and outreach calendar without daily direction.
  • Follows up quickly and consistently, so no family or partner contact goes cold.
  • Communicates warmly and professionally with parents, business owners, and community leaders in person, by phone, and in writing.
  • Tells the school's story authentically on social media and in person, with sound judgment about how children and families are represented.
  • Tracks activity and results with discipline, turning outreach into numbers leadership can act on.
  • Represents Primrose with integrity and care, knowing every interaction shapes how families see the school.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • One to two or more years of experience in community outreach, marketing, enrollment or admissions, or relationship-based sales required; experience in early childhood education, child care, schools, or family-focused services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building referral partnerships or networking in person with local businesses and organizations required; existing connections in Hillsboro or the greater Washington County area preferred.
  • Experience creating social media content and supporting events required; familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, and a CRM or lead-tracking tool preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required, along with the ability to complete the background check required for child care staff in Oregon.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to travel regularly around Hillsboro and nearby communities to visit businesses, organizations, and events.
  • Must be able to work on site at the school and out in the community, including occasional evening or weekend events and open houses, and to stand and walk for extended periods at events.
  • Must be able to work at a computer or phone to follow up on leads, create content, and track outreach results.

  • Hourly pay: $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, on site and in the community with possibility for full time
  • Pilot: The role begins as a 90-day pilot with clear success measures, reviewed with the School Director at the end of the pilot.
  • Paid sick time: Paid sick time in accordance with Oregon law.
  • Growth: The opportunity to shape a new role at the school, working directly with the School Director and the franchise owners.
