Teaching Artist, In School (Dance Specialty)
Kid Stock becomes part of the school day! Students strengthen their storytelling skills, move their bodies, and use their voices in the classroom, before showcasing what they’ve learned in performances for family and friends. Schools meet key curriculum standards in dance, music and theater in a program to meet the needs of the school.
During the school year, Kid Stock provides In-School programs at many Bay Area schools and we are looking for Teaching Artists to teach dance at these school programs, specifically for the spring semester.
You would need to be consistently available during the school day at least one and up to five days per week. On our day(s) at a school, we rotate through various classes from TK-8th grade teaching and practicing their part in the school-wide performance at the end of the semester.
To apply, you should have some experience and like working with kids. Additionally, you should have some experience with and/or passion for the arts/theater. The spring semester begins in January, but ideally you would be available starting in December (or sooner) for training.
