Role Summary
The Builder Sales Specialist owns the Builder sales floor and is the go-to person when a customer wants to look at a vehicle, has questions, or needs help deciding which one is right for them. It's a team sales seat: Car Buying brings potential buyers to the yard, Customer Service spots walk-ins who may be interested, and you take it from there by showing vehicles, being honest about what we know and don't know, building the relationship, and closing the sale. Success means taking a customer from "I'm just looking" to "Let's get the paperwork started." When you see someone looking at a Builder, you're thinking: "That's an opportunity. I'm going to go talk to them."
This is a full-time, on-site, hourly role at Lamb or Henderson. Your manager sets the schedule based on business and customer needs. Expect to work both Saturday and Sunday, on a shift anticipated to run 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks, for forty paid hours a week. You're the main point of contact for Builder customers, so dependable, consistent attendance is a must. Overtime isn't approved as a matter of course; when it's genuinely needed, the Sales Manager approves it in advance. The Company also runs several major sale events a year, including Black Friday and Memorial Day. They're our busiest days, the schedule is published in advance, and the whole team is required on-site.
Benefits:
Paid time off
Paid holidays
Group health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with a Company match
Opportunities to learn, grow, and take on more — we prefer to develop our own people
Benefit eligibility is subject to each plan's terms.
Compensation:
$17 per hour, plus the opportunity for performance-based compensation tied to Builder vehicle sales. Approved overtime and major sale-day hours are paid at the legal rate.
Nevada Pic A Part is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Customer-facing sales or customer service experience; automotive sales strongly preferred
Comfortable approaching customers and starting the conversation instead of waiting to be asked
Honest and plain-spoken: you'll say "I don't know" before you'll guess or oversell
Able to learn inventory, pricing, and vehicle condition details and explain them clearly
Organized follow-through: you track every lead and follow up on time, in person and online
Professional appearance and a friendly, low-pressure style
Available to work weekends and major sale days
Basic knowledge of vehicles preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Own the Builder floor on every scheduled shift: watch the floor and the Builder inventory, and approach every customer looking at a Builder vehicle rather than waiting to be asked.
Show vehicles and explain what we know about their condition clearly and without pressure, helping customers feel comfortable in English or Spanish.
Know the available Builder inventory, pricing, and program well enough to answer questions accurately and recommend options that fit each customer's needs.
Answer every question honestly, sharing what we know about a vehicle's condition and saying plainly what we don't.
Post Builder vehicles online once they're priced and approved, and answer online comments and inquiries promptly.
Follow up with every interested customer, in person and online, and keep each lead's status current.
Move interested customers to a decision and start the sale paperwork.
Work with the Car Buying, Customer Service, and Production teams so every inquiry is picked up and every handoff through delivery, movement, and sale goes smoothly.
Support the Customer Service team and work the registers when Builder activity is slow.
Keep a professional appearance and the showing area presentable, follow the Builder process and SOPs, and keep customers safe by following Company safety rules without exception.
