OVERVIEW
Build your program management career while helping advance semiconductor technology
Veeco’s Product Development team in San Jose develops advanced semiconductor equipment by bringing together multidisciplinary engineering, customer requirements, and manufacturing execution. As an Engineering Program Manager II, you will coordinate technical projects and defined program workstreams that support Veeco’s Advanced Packaging (AP) product line and strategic outsourcing initiatives.
This role is designed for an emerging program management professional who has established a foundation in technical project management and is ready to grow through broader cross-functional exposure and increasing project complexity. Working with mechanical, electrical, optical, software, and technician teams, along with Product Line Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Service, suppliers, and external partners, you will help translate objectives into executable plans, track progress and risks, coordinate deliverables, and support programs through product release and operational readiness.
You will apply established project management practices, exercise judgment within defined processes, and build productive working relationships while developing deeper expertise in semiconductor capital equipment and technical program management.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk, Quality & Product Readiness
- Identify and track technical, schedule, resource, and supplier risks; work with project stakeholders to develop mitigation actions and escalate issues when additional support or decisions are needed.
- Support program execution in accordance with applicable SEMI standards, regulatory requirements, and established engineering and product-development practices.
- Apply lessons learned, data, and structured problem solving to help resolve project issues and improve execution within assigned areas.
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
- Support strategic outsourcing initiatives by coordinating requirements, schedules, deliverables, and follow-up actions between internal teams and external partners.

- Strong problem-solving judgment with the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and drive issues to closure.
- Working knowledge of product-development processes, engineering release practices, BOMs, documentation, and manufacturing readiness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools; experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems is valuable.
