Join the founding engineering team at an early-stage clinical AI healthtech startup, building backend systems for healthcare payment workflows. You will own core infrastructure that processes complex clinical and financial data and supports integrations with medical record and payer systems.
Build and scale distributed backend systems for clinical data processing, claims, authorizations, denials, and payer and provider integrations.
Develop browser and computer-use automation for navigating medical record software and payer portals.
Design reliable systems for processing messy healthcare data, including scanned records, PDFs, structured claims, and unstructured notes.
Build orchestration, queuing, retry, and observability tools for long-running workflows across healthcare systems.
Work with research and product engineers to bring clinical AI capabilities into production and establish engineering practices for the growing team.
Three or more years of backend software engineering experience, with a track record of owning and scaling technically complex systems.
Experience with Python, microservices, distributed systems, data pipelines, workflow orchestration, or large-scale data processing.
Experience building and operating LLM or machine learning systems in production.
Ability to design and deliver backend systems end to end, with strong computer science fundamentals.
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment, or a clear interest in joining an early-stage team.
Interest in technical leadership and helping build an engineering team.
Experience with browser automation or complex external integrations is a plus.
