Job Details: Job Location: Early Learning Center 10 - Fernley, NV, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $48000.00 - $52000.00Salary/year, Come work in a BRAND NEW child care center that supports staff just as much as children, building the site's culture from the ground up. As a Director with the Early Learning Centers, you’ll be part of a team supporting teachers for children aged 6 weeks to five years. You will have the opportunity to focus on the positive and on the success of the team by: developing and supervising all site staff and teachers, primarily entry-level teachers; developing and implementing classroom management strategies and curriculum guided by Conscious Discipline; and managing the site's reputation and budget. We will need some qualifications from you, including: dual-CDAs or an Associate's or higher in ECE, Child Development, or related field; one year of experience working with children, ideally at-risk children or children of trauma, or equivalent additional education; and one year of experience in an administrative position. In exchange, our center offers extensive benefits: We offer all full time employees 100% employer-paid medical, vision, and dental plans. All full time employees also receive complimentary Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance coverage. When we say we nurture great connections and build great futures, we don’t just mean for the students; as a member of our ELC team, you’ll strengthen your future as well through annual tuition reimbursement and a 7% pension plan. These are some of the additional things you will do as a Director with our child care centers: Ensure all children receive quality care and instruction, including performing observations, ensuring behavior plans are followed, and resourcing intervention as necessary. Provide exemplary customer service to parents, including de-escalating concerns as needed. Manage all licensing and reporting requirements. Manage staff conflicts with HR support. Staff classrooms and respond to radio calls. Ensure safety and cleanliness of facility. Prepare and provide regular reports, including grant reports for CACFP and NV Ready Pre-K Program. Our students range from 6 weeks to 5 years and are generally grouped into six age-based classes; Directors are expected to be able to support families and staff for all age groups. Qualifications: We have great leaders that can teach you skills on the job, but there are some actions and goals that will make you more successful as an Director. You know that child care settings have more to do than educate, so you greet each child by name and take an interest in their families and lives. You want to create a positive workplace where the focus is on encouragement and confidentiality. You believe that uniqueness should be celebrated and support including all persons, regardless of background or beliefs. You respect your team and communicate when you are experiencing difficulty meeting responsibilities. As part of our commitment to child and member safety, there are some additional steps that all hires will be asked to complete. You will need to provide 3 references. These references must be professional references who can speak to your character and professionalism. You will also be asked to complete a drug screen (for drugs that are illegal in the state of Nevada), background check, and fingerprint check. We have a commitment to being GREAT. At our Reno/Sparks Early Learning Centers, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a great life, inspired by GREAT values: Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness. The Early Learning Centers are committed to practicing those values to create places where every child feels safe and connected—a place to belong and a place to become—and a fun, positive work environment where you can be sure you’re making a difference.   For more about what makes our Early Learning Centers a great place to work, visit our employment page and view testimonials from our staff!
