About the Role
Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking an AI Integration Analyst to help turn emerging Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI capabilities into secure, practical tools for Department of Defense mission and business operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building and evaluating AI solutions, improving business processes, and translating complex technical capabilities into tools that military and civilian stakeholders can use with confidence.
The ideal candidate is both a technical practitioner and a practical problem-solver. You should be comfortable developing Large Language Model applications, working with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, evaluating AI risks, and determining when AI is—or is not—the right solution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, integrate, configure, test, and evaluate AI and Generative AI solutions that support business and mission operations.
- Build and improve Large Language Model applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation and agent-based workflows.
- Design RAG pipelines involving document ingestion, chunking, metadata, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
- Evaluate business problems to determine whether they are best addressed through AI, conventional automation, process improvement, or a combination of approaches.
- Identify and help mitigate AI security and operational risks, including:
- Unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information
- Prompt injection
- Insecure tool or system access
- Hallucinated or unsupported outputs
- Excessive system permissions
- Inappropriate reliance on AI-generated information
- Develop human-in-the-loop review processes, evaluation methods, and safety guardrails for AI-enabled workflows.
- Translate complex AI technologies into clear, actionable tools and recommendations for non-technical military and civilian stakeholders.
- Present technical findings, demonstrations, risks, and implementation recommendations to leadership and mission partners.
- Develop user guides, standard operating procedures, process flows, training materials, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
- Manage multiple technical activities and priorities while meeting customer and program deadlines.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of professional experience in software integration, systems analysis, automation, data analytics, software development, or a related technical field.
- At least two years of hands-on experience developing, integrating, configuring, testing, or evaluating Artificial Intelligence or Generative AI solutions. These two years may be included within the five years of overall professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing or integrating Generative AI and Large Language Model applications for business or mission operations.
- Working knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation architecture, including document ingestion, chunking, metadata, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
- Experience identifying and managing AI-related security, privacy, reliability, and operational risks.
- Ability to evaluate whether a problem is appropriate for AI or would be better addressed through conventional automation or process improvement.
- Ability to explain AI technologies, technical risks, and agent workflows clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting the Department of Defense or another federal government organization.
- Familiarity with DoD Responsible Artificial Intelligence principles and applicable federal AI governance requirements.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active Secret clearance at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are helpful but are not required for consideration:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities within Palantir Foundry environments, including Maven, Army Vantage, or APAS.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, or related tools.
- Familiarity with military supply-chain, logistics, acquisition, or financial-management systems, such as GFEBS or GCSS-Army.
- Experience implementing human-in-the-loop workflows, AI evaluation processes, or safety guardrails in secure government or enterprise environments.
- Experience using AI safety or content-control technologies such as NeMo Guardrails, Llama Guard, or comparable frameworks.
- Experience developing technical documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures, training materials, process maps, and implementation documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Existing Top-Secret clearance.
Candidates who meet the required qualifications are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
What Success Looks Like
A successful candidate will:
- Approach AI as a practical mission-enablement tool rather than applying AI to every problem.
- Balance innovation with security, reliability, governance, and responsible use.
- Build solutions that are understandable, testable, and maintainable.
- Work effectively with technical teams, program leadership, military personnel, and other mission stakeholders.
- Recognize when human review and decision authority must remain part of an AI-enabled process.
- Convert technical capabilities into workflows that provide measurable value to the customer.
