Provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for inpatient pharmacy services supporting acute care, Cancer Center clinical operations, the Medication Resource Center (MRC), hematology, oncology, transplant, pulmonary, diabetes and endocrinology, and other specialty populations. This full-time, exempt manager oversees daily operations, regulatory compliance, workforce management, health system technology, and approximately 23 direct-report pharmacists.
The role works closely with the Cancer Center and Critical Care leaders to support inpatient clinical operations and collaborates with multidisciplinary partners—including nursing, physicians, Willow, medication safety, supply chain, pharmacy clinical services, and peer pharmacy leaders—to implement new therapies, address regulatory mandates, enhance technology, and support clinical expansion.
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday during day-shift hours, with flexibility required for team meetings, operational support, leadership meetings, and staffing needs.
The manager also participates in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation with other pharmacy leaders. Success in this role requires a self-motivated, supportive, organized, detail-oriented team player who can work independently, communicate effectively, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
