Lutron is seeking a Trade Compliance Supervisor to join our Trade Compliance team at our Annex office location in Center Valley, PA. In this role, you will play a critical part in facilitating global trade operations while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and other government agency requirements across international markets.

The Trade Compliance Supervisor will leverage strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex import and export regulations and determine their application to Lutron's global business operations. This individual will possess a deep understanding of Lutron products and work cross-functionally to implement regulatory requirements, update internal policies and procedures, and ensure ongoing compliance.

Success in this role requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution. The ideal candidate will continuously evaluate existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and compliance effectiveness. By building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory, logistics, and trade partners, the Trade Compliance Supervisor will help support Lutron's global growth while mitigating compliance risk.

• Represent Trade Compliance by maintaining consultative communication with management and staff across multiple business functions.

• Lead and manage HTS classifiers.

• Utilizing expertise in trade compliance operations for import and export transactions.

• Perform compliance review of imports and exports.

• Execute complex transactions and projects, including valuation, assist management, planning, and routing guidance.

• Validate Country of Origin and valuation details for new lanes/markets.

• Determine import requirements and documentation necessary for compliant import and export transactions.

• Respond to inquiries / assist freight forwarder and customs brokers regarding cross-border transactions.

• Generate performance metrics for pre-entry activities.

• Participate in various process improvement projects as required.

• Monitor regulatory and legislative changes; when changes occur, communicate updates for internal processes accordingly. 

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required; If you have 10+ years of work experience, GPA is not required

• Minimum 8 years of professional work experience in international operations, import or exports, and/or customs brokerage required; people leading experience a plus

• Preferred Certifications: Customs Compliance Specialist (CCS), Certified Export Specialist, or Licensed Customs Broker

• Must live within commutable distance of Center Valley PA to accommodate in-office schedule

• You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
