LPD Music International is an established wholesale distributor of musical instruments, accessories, and related products, serving independent music retailers throughout the country.
We're looking for an experienced, motivated inside sales professional who knows how to build customer relationships, grow sales, and identify new business opportunities. We're looking for a salesperson first, not simply someone with customer service experience.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established customer territory, work with a wide variety of musical instrument and accessory products, and make a direct impact on the company's growth.
What You'll Do
-
Grow an established territory: Manage and develop relationships with existing retail music store accounts, identifying opportunities to increase their purchases.
-
Generate new business: Proactively identify, contact, and establish relationships with prospective music retailers.
-
Win back customers: Reconnect with inactive accounts and turn former customers into active buyers again.
-
Drive sales: Make outbound calls, introduce new products, recommend complementary items, and promote products and special offers.
-
Build customer loyalty: Understand customers' businesses and help them find products that meet their needs.
-
Manage your accounts: Process orders, answer product questions, resolve issues, and follow through with customers.
-
Meet sales goals: Maintain consistent outbound sales activity and work toward monthly and annual sales targets.
This is a hands-on sales position. Success requires someone who enjoys picking up the phone, initiating conversations, asking for the sale, and consistently looking for ways to grow business.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of successful B2B inside sales, wholesale sales, or account management experience.
- A proven ability to generate sales through outbound calling and relationship building.
- Confidence initiating conversations with new customers and developing business from the ground up.
- Strong closing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage a territory independently.
- Excellent verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, email, and standard business software.
- Musical instrument or music retail product knowledge is a plus, but not required. Sales ability matters more.
Compensation & Earning Potential
- $25,000 base salary + Uncapped commissions
- Expected total compensation: $45,000–$60,000+
- Additional opportunities to earn through sales growth, new account development, and reactivation incentives.
Our compensation structure rewards initiative, consistent effort, and results. The more business you develop, the greater your earning potential.
