About the Role:
Kurious Little Hands Childcare Services in Columbia, MS is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for toddler-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
- Supervise toddlers during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest time
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive childcare environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare/early education setting
- Strong understanding of toddler developmental milestones and age-appropriate practices
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
