About the Role:
WorkSaver Material Handling Equipment in Shawnee, OK is looking for a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality finished steel fabrications that our customers rely on every day. Responsibilities:
- Apply industrial coatings, primers, and paints to fabricated steel products using spray guns and other application equipment
- Prepare steel surfaces through sandblasting, grinding, and cleaning prior to painting
- Inspect finished products for coating consistency, coverage, and quality control
- Mix and thin paints and coatings to proper viscosity per manufacturer specifications
- Operate and maintain spray equipment, ensuring proper setup and cleanup
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of PPE, ventilation, and handling of hazardous materials
- Work alongside fabrication team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Requirements:
- Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or spray painting in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques including sandblasting and grinding
- Knowledge of industrial coatings, primers, and paint mixing procedures
- Ability to operate airless and conventional spray equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and comply with OSHA standards
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
