Job Details: Job Location: Charlotte NC - Pineville, NC, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00Hourly, EMSL Analytical is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry/IH) in Pineville, NC. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze environmental, lead, and industrial hygiene chemistry samples  Prepare and analyze inorganic / organic bulk sample matrices using EPA methods  Use of analytical equipment such as Flame AA, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, and/or XRD Sample prep methods including acid digestion/ organic extraction / inorganic digestion,  appropriate batch QC and standards Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed Generate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS system Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager   Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Related Science required  1 Year work experience  Previous experience with analytical chemistry instrumentation is a plus  Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship  Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus  Basic Math skills related to analytical chemistry  Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Physical requirements include the ability sit and stand for various lengths of time Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance Available Shift: Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Pineville, NC are encouraged to apply EMSL Analytical offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and FSA.
