Jackson's Cafeteria is a family-owned restaurant that has proudly served our community for over 60 years. We are known for our home-cooked meals, traditional favorites, and the kind of food and service that make our customers feel right at home.

We are looking for a dependable, experienced kitchen manager who enjoys working in the kitchen, knows what it takes to keep things running smoothly, and is willing to roll up their sleeves and work right alongside the team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in good food, keeps a clean kitchen, leads by example, and understands that everyone has to work together.

We are looking for someone with previous restaurant kitchen experience- this is required.
- Previous kitchen leadership.
- Home-style cooking and cafeteria-style service is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety (ServSafe certified) is a plus, or a willingness to obtain the appropriate certification.
- Ability to stay organized, give clear direction, and work well with others.
- You must be dependable, punctual, and willing to take responsibility.

The schedule requirements include and are not limited to weekends, early mornings, midday and evening shifts, holidays. This position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the restaurant, which means applicant must be willing to work any shift.

This position of kitchen manager will offer an hourly rate of $14 to $16 based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability. The location of this job is Jackson's Cafeteria of Gastonia, North Carolina, 1453 East Franklin Boulevard.

This position will work very closely with our store management. This position is a working kitchen management position. The kitchen manager will oversee daily kitchen operations while also remaining active with food prep, employee support, cleanliness.
