Job Description: Elementary School Counselor
Douglas School District – Box Elder, South Dakota

Provides counseling and guidance services to elementary students to support their academic, social, emotional, and personal development. Works with students individually and in groups to address behavioral, social, and emotional needs. Collaborates with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff to identify student needs, develop interventions, and promote a positive and safe learning environment. Assists with conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and implementation of school counseling programs. Maintains appropriate student records and communicates with families and staff while maintaining confidentiality. Requires strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
