Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Provide specialized instruction using evidence-based strategies tailored to each student's goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusive learning environments
- Track and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed.
- Age Grade: 6 to 08 grade (flexible)
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and IEP updates
- Participate in IEP meetings, multi-factored evaluations, and team conferences
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, Ohio Department of Education regulations, and district policies
Requirements:
- Ohio Intervention Specialist license (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive) required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with children with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
