One of the largest and fastest-growing restaurant franchisees in the country is hiring an experienced General Manager to lead a Wendy’s in the Hampton Roads market. The group runs 230+ Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and 7 Brew locations across eight states, with about 7,000 team members.
As the company keeps expanding across Virginia and North Carolina, it’s adding strong GM talent to the Hampton Roads team. That means real room to move up for leaders who deliver.
The Role
Reporting to the District Manager, you’ll own the full day-to-day operation of your Wendy’s: guest experience, drive-thru speed, food safety, food and labor costs, team development, and the store-level P&L. This is a hands-on, in-position leadership role. You’re the leader, the coach, and the driving force behind the restaurant.
What You’ll Do
- Lead with energy: Build, motivate, and develop a team that takes pride in great food and excellent guest service.
- Grow future leaders: Recruit, hire, train, and coach team members, and create chances for them to advance.
- Run a great restaurant: Oversee daily operations, food safety, quality, cleanliness, and Wendy’s brand standards across every daypart.
- Deliver results: Manage labor, food cost, inventory, and the key financial metrics that hit restaurant goals and drive your quarterly bonus.
- Make every guest count: Lead by example so every guest leaves with a great Wendy’s experience.
What You Bring
- Restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR or fast casual, ideally with a drive-thru
- A team builder’s mindset: you know how to build strong teams, develop people, and hold them accountable
- A solid grasp of restaurant operations, food safety, labor management, and cost control
- A positive, hands-on leadership style, with strong communication skills, confidence making decisions and solving problems at a fast pace, and readiness to own restaurant performance
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as the business requires
