Build early-stage electrical prototypes into testable, deployable alpha hardware for initial design partners. This hands-on hardware role combines power electronics design, simulation, lab validation, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Iterate lab-scale prototypes into structured, testable, customer-ready hardware systems.
Design high-voltage DC power conversion, switching, and distribution architectures, including 800V-class systems using devices such as SiC semiconductors.
Model and validate electrical, thermal, and system behavior with tools such as SPICE and PLECS.
Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and characterization with high-power equipment, troubleshooting switching, timing, sensing, and protection.
Use AI tools, including agents and language models, to accelerate design, testing, and iteration.
Coordinate PCB fabrication, component sourcing, and packaging with external partners.
Make system-level tradeoffs across performance, thermals, reliability, and manufacturability.
At least 2 years of experience designing, prototyping, and testing power electronics systems; relevant experience may range from 2 to 10 or more years.
Experience taking hardware from prototype through simulation, lab bring-up, iteration, and system validation.
Hands-on experience with gate-driver design for fast-switching architectures and electrical simulation tools such as SPICE or PLECS.
A degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrated aptitude in power electronics.
Strong system intuition and the ability to reason about electrical, thermal, and mechanical tradeoffs.
Experience incorporating AI tools, agents, or models into technical workflows.
Experience in EVs, EV charging, solar, battery storage, or other high-voltage and high-power switching applications is useful. Familiarity with SiC, GaN, and systems around 800V is relevant.
