Position overview

VLinc Corporation seeks a detail-oriented Professional Qualification Evaluator to assess professional mariner credentials and supporting documentation against established regulatory and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credential applications, sea-service records, training documentation, and professional qualifications.

• Identify missing or inconsistent documentation and prepare clear findings and recommendations.

• Apply applicable maritime regulations, policy guidance, and established quality-control procedures.

• Maintain accurate evaluation records and meet assigned turnaround and accuracy standards.

• Coordinate with colleagues and reviewers to resolve complex credentialing questions.

Required qualifications

• Completed government-provided Professional Qualification Evaluator training at Levels I, II, and III.

• Demonstrated Level III evaluation proficiency and documented error rate below 9%.

• Experience interpreting mariner credentialing requirements and documenting evaluation decisions.

• Strong analytical, written communication, and records-management skills.

• Ability to perform duties on-site in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in a maritime credential evaluation organization.

• Familiarity with U.S. merchant mariner credentialing regulations and electronic case-management systems.
